Callum Mintzis

Callum Mintzis is a trombonist, composer and producer based in Melbourne. He’s worked with international improvisers such as Vijay Iyer, Ambrose Akinmusire, Julia Reidy, and Ralph Alessi (among others), Akinmusire having described his approach to improvising as ‘extremely unique’ and ‘unlike any trombonist, he’d ever heard.’ And within Melbourne, he’s worked with artists and organizations as varied as the Australian Art Orchestra, Monash Art Ensemble, Chamber Made, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Andrea Keller, Cat Hope, and Kate Neal.
